Lily Hospitals started formally with ISO (International Organization for Standardization) in 2008. Certified to the requirement of ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System in 2009, her certification was revalidated to the requirement of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System in 2011.The standards provide guidance and tools for companies and organizations who want to ensure that their products and services consistently meet customer’s requirements, and that quality is consistently improved.
We became ASQ (American Society for Quality) in 2012. Also a member of Society for Quality in Healthcare (SQIN) since 2012.
We later collaborated with Creative Healthcare (COMPASS QMS) in the use of Balance Scorecard and Lean Six Sigma as Quality/Process Improvement Tools in 2013.
Lily hospitals is also in partnership with British Medical Journal (BMJ) in an effort to improve clinical care through Clinical Governance .
The process interrelationship and necessary measures put in place to monitor process performance cum customer satisfaction has helped us to achieve process efficiency thereby allowing a healthy system to be born. This has given us a hedge over our competitors thereby increasing our customer base which in the long run has affected our bottom line positively.
Lily hospitals is on the verge of being certified to COHSASA, a journey that was born out of the foundation of ISO CERTIFICATION in a bid to enhance our process integration and efficiency, exceed our customer expectation and achieve a healthy financial performance. COHSASA strictly applies quality improvement methods that can improve patient safety and quality of care by guiding interventions, monitoring progress and identifying improvements.
Lily Hospitals is the first to receive NIS ISO 9001:2000 certification in Nigeria and the first to embrace the Clinical Governance Programme promoted by HRI-BMJWA. Lily Hospitals was acquired in 1998 by a multidisciplinary team of doctors committed to best practice, patient-centred and technologically driven care.

Consisting of 48-bed main wing with Fertility and Eye Centres and a newly built 20-bed Annex equipped with an OR1 Endoscopy suite, the 21-bed Benin branch with a 1.5 Tesla MRI machine was also open in June 2015. Being an approved continuing medical education provider, Lily hospitals has approval from the Management Of the Medical And Dental Council Of Nigeria( MDCN) and National Postgraduate College to commence Housemanship and Residency training.
